Abundance/Coaching Teleseminars: Cash Cows or Educating Those Less Fortunate?

I can't believe it's almost Christmas. I have not purchased a single gift yet. Thank goodness today is payday! I've been reading about manifesting abundance for the last year or so. And just when I was feeling doubtful, a possible new source of income was offered, and I did not expect payment! I hope it comes through, and will update the blog either way.

Issues I have with some who teach about abundance and manifesting: there are many out there who have a package, system, teleseminars, etc. For someone as gullible as me, it is easy to get hooked, but essentially they seem to teach the same principles/universal laws. Many have websites with glowing testimonials from people who had just attended their course, and within days/weeks received a huge windfall. Another thing that they do is have free teleseminars with people they partner with. The speaker gives just enough information to make people interested in buying their package. The speaker will then give a percentage of the profits from the sales to the facilitator, who has a following (large email list) and was able to sign up people for the teleseminar class (this is done through a special webpage that was set up for that particular teleseminar). There are so many of these speakers, and many know each other and have these large followings so that they are able to go on each other's teleseminars quite often and sell their packages. Each has a package (product) and so they all make alot of passive income this way. From a business perspective, it's a good model for passive income. From the viewpoint of someone who is a student of manifesting and quantum physics, it seems more like a way to make money off of people in need than an altruistic endeavor. If manifestation works the way they say is does, why the need for all these expensive packages?
